Anti-Vitamin Supplement Legislation Sneaked Into Financial Reform Bill

Posted by Dr. Michael on April 28th, 2010

I was just alerted that the congressional version the banking financial reform bill has an amendment to increase regulation of nutritional supplements. Long time natural health foe, Henry Waxman (California), inserted language into the legislation before congress passed it. (A quick search at opensecrets.org shows that Waxman’s main donors over the years has been allopathic medicine.)

The Alliance For Natural Health is requesting people to contact their senators, to make sure no such amendment gets sneaked into the Senate bill.

You can read more here.

I am personally tired of lawmakers sneaking legislation into proposed laws that have nothing to do with what the law is about.
