Hello Everyone!

My name is Lori Romano and I’ve been working at Advanced Spinal Care
since March of 2007.  I’m writing this letter to share my experiences
with you, and tell you how my life has changed since I’ve known Dr.
Michael.

Let me tell you a little about me!  I was pretty active growing up,
playing sports, and taking dance classes for most of my young adult
life.  The only injury I had was a torn meniscus in my right knee,
which resulted in two knee surgeries my senior year of high school.  I
seemed to have a pretty smooth recovery, except for the intermittent
pain in my right knee and hip that I noticed most when it would rain,
or the weather would change drastically.  It’s like I had a built-in
barometer, and, like clock-work, knew when it was gonna rain.  Other
than that, physically, I felt pretty well.

Emotionally???  Different story.  For as long as I could remember,
my life had been plagued with episodes of panic attacks and anxiety
disorders.  At times, they would be so bad that I couldn’t even leave
the house.  I had seen different doctors, and was put on
anti-depressants such as Prozac, Zoloft, and Lexapro.  I wasn’t
depressed, and hated the feeling of being on anti-depressants, but
complied because they were prescribed to help my anxiety attacks.  They
did help a little bit, but I didn’t like feeling like a zombie all the
time!  I wanted to get off the meds, but didn’t feel like I had any
alternatives.  Now, I’m not sure which came first, the panic attacks or
the stomach troubles, but it seemed the two would go hand-in-hand.  I
would get an anxiety attack, which would be followed by an upset
stomach, or vice-versa.  I chose to avoid social situations that I
feared would trigger a panic attack.  Sometimes, if I felt the
slightest pain in my stomach, I would go into a state of panic.  Why
you ask?  I wish I could answer that, but the bottom line is, I didn’t
know what triggered the anxiety, or the stomach aches, but I did know
it was keeping me from doing things.  Things like traveling, going out
with friends, and other normally fun social situations.  Not the kind
of life I wanted to live.

When I started working for Dr. Michael, I had never heard of NUCCA.
I had worked in the medical field for a while now, but never knew this
type of work existed.  The more I learned, the more curious I became.
I read a lot of the literature we had here at the office, and looked at
Dr. Michael’s website (www.spinalalignment.com) to educate myself on
this procedure.  I never in a million years imagined that this simple,
non-intrusive technique could help treat so many ailments…including
panic attacks, and stomach conditions, as well as my hip and knee pain.

After my initial adjustment, the first thing I noticed upon standing
up was the feeling of being able to breathe deeper, like a weight was
lifted from my chest.  I thought that was pretty neat!
A few
treatments later, I was sitting at my desk, looking out the window at
the rainstorm, and all of a sudden realized I had no pain in my hip and
knee.  I remember the exact moment I turned to Jordan and said, “I
didn’t even know it was gonna rain because usually my hip and knee
start to ache when it does!”  I haven’t had any hip or knee pain
since!  So much for my built-in barometer!!!

The biggest change in my life was the complete cessation of my
anxiety attacks!  I have been taken off anti-depressants, and have been
able to go places, and do things I wasn’t able to do before.  The
stomach issues have also resolved.

I never imagined that I could feel this good.  My body feels strong
and healthy, my mind is clear and panic-free!  Since experiencing
upper-cervical chiropractic….Life Is Good!!!
