Ending Poll: People that get a cold or the flu each year are less likely to get cancer.

According a study published in the Journal of Cancer Research and Clinical Oncology, having the cold or flu regularly is associated with decreased cancer risk.  Further a study in the journal Medical Hypothesis found that getting childhood diseases such as measles, mumps, pertussis, and rubella, also decreased the incidence of cancer.

Illness is our body’s way of cleaning out our system.  Fevers will burn toxins, while colds will stimulate our immune system to take care of other pathogens besides the ones that we are fighting.

So allow that cold to run its course. It is actually doing you good.
