Illicium Supreme 20% Off for February

This has become one of my favorite Supreme Nutrition products.  It’s one of the first things I test patients with cold/flu symptoms or stomach discomfort:

Illicium Verum is the fruit of a tropical evergreen. It has been used for thousands of years in Chinese medicine. Traditionally it has been used for irritated stomachs, indigestion, nausea, and to reduce hernias, and increase libido.

Modern research shows that is has anti-fungal, anti-yeast (candida), anti-viral, and anti-bacterial properties. It contains shikimic acid which is a precursor to Tami-flu. Studies have shown that it is very effective to antibiotic resistant infections including MRSA. It has also been show to be great for colitis.

Additional research shows that is an excellent anti-oxidant with pain relieving, anti-inflammatory, and sedative properties. It also protects the brain and nervous system as it has been shown to increase blood flow to the brain and reduce brain swelling. It may also be helpful with Alzheimer’s.

In addition to its anti-inflammatory properties, it may have a benefit to the cardiovascular system with an anti-platelet and anti-thrombotic effect.

Finally, it seems to help boost hormone levels in men.

From an applied kinsesiology perspective, it nourishes the adrenals, builds/supports the immune system, improves digestion, reduces inflammation, helps the cardiovascular system and nervous system. It is also a great anti-viral and is great for the flu. Supreme Nutrition tried many sources to find a supplier whose product would regularly test beneficial to patients.

Dosage for acute illness (digestive disturbance/infection/flu) 2 capsules 2-3x a day. For tonic benefits, maintenance, prevention and long term use 1 capsule 2-3x a day.
