Mini Covid Update For September 3.

New Covid cases are continuing to be high. There was a slight increase from 1886 to 2039 new cases over last week. This is an increase of 8%. I’m actually expecting that this wave will peak within the next few weeks. If we are lucky, it is peaking now. I personally was sick this week with gastroenteritis. I believe it was from takeout food that we got this weekend. I had a fever Monday morning, and at the time, I was concerned that it may have been Covid. Gastrointestinal symptoms are a new symptom of the Delta variant. I was able to get two tests on Monday, an instant test and the typical test that gave me results within 30 hours. Instant, at-home tests are available at different libraries in Cuyahoga County. You do need internet access to take the test. You can find the availability of these tests, as well as standard tests through the state’s board of health website, located here.
