It is the only supplement that I recommend patients to stay on forever. 20-30% of the population has a genetic problem whereby they can’t efficiently convert Folic Acid to its final usable form. Folic acid is an important anti-inflammatory nutrient. It is needed to help us detoxify. It is also a precursor to several neurotransmitters and a lack can cause depression and anxiety.
